I guess I'm the first to ever post here. Anyway, here's a little something I put together. It's entirely synthesized, but it's still in a modal jazz style. I attempted to emulate the "Kind of Blue" style to some extent. It uses 17 notes per octave, instead of the usual 12. It has 2 scales, a "normal" Dorian mode in D, and a "neutral Dorian" mode in C, which replaces the minor third and minor seventh with a neutral third and a neutral seventh, intervals that exist between minor and major and are inherently microtonal.
I also attached my first attempt at using pixilang. It's a silly little animation, and the YouTube compression made it worse.
P.S.: The title of the song is an oblique reference to "Kind of Blue." The word "Prime" is there because 17 is the seventh prime number.
