I'm now happily running sunvox 1.6 on my Nokia N900*, it is beautiful, *very* stable (no crash so far and I'm pushing it) and I'm just dropping by to say

THANK YOU ALEX !

(*) = AND on my old Palm T5, AND on my various linux boxes, damned !

(now real-time audio recording and automation, and we're all set :) )

EDIT Wait a minute, did I say automation ? Silly me ; I did'nt realize that there IS automation, since you can input control changes right where the note is... We don't need fancy curves, what we need is real-time audio tracks input ! I just did a nice velocity sweep in two clicks (you simple example tunes really roxx, keep 'em coming)

Seriously, I'm really amazed at what you can do with code, Alex. Sunvox is the most exiting piece of audio software since virtual synths came around. Get yourself a paypal account already, so that we can thank you properly.

The FM synth seems to bee using a lot of CPU, is there a possibility that you'll be optimising it for 1.6.2 or is there fundamentally nothing much that can be done to reduce CPU usage?

Yes, FM is CPU expensive. Not sure that i can optimize the current version. But i have some thoughts about quicker FM algorithms. Just for the FM v2.0 :)

Midi-Input = YES. Thank you - I really could use this with my keyboard. Keep going! (P.S. You should release it 1.6.2 immediately after you finish Midi-In, I think.)

SolarLine,
agree with you. MIDI will be the main feature of the new SunVox.

i am so incredibly stoked right now. :D

this is kind of a silly question, but is there any way to set ASIO as the audiodevice for win32 sunvox?
