Symptoms:
Started Sunvox 1.9.4 x64 on Widows 10 with its standard template
Added Echiano
Configured Pad1, Pad2, Pad3 and Pad4 to play always with midi channel 2
Selected Echiano
Used a kebpoard with split set: 2 lower octaves sends in channel 2
Played a C chord on lower parts of the keyboard (2nd octave of 5 available) (Midi chn 2) - 5 instruments active (all Pads and Echiano) with 3 notes playing
Then only one more note can be played with Echiano using midi channel 1.

Edit: there seems to be no such symptom in 1.9 5 beta so the problem is now worked around by using the new version

Re: Is there a global polyphony limit in Sunvox?
Global MIDI polyphony:
16 tracks in 1.9.4;
32 tracks in 1.9.5.
And if you want to play all the Pads at the same time - it's better to connect them to the single MultiSynth. One track per note will be used instead of four.

This explains these symptoms: 3x5=15 (C chord) and only one note left.
Using MultiSynth solved the problem.
Another behavior which I noticed: the PC keyboard doesn't behave like MIDI keyboard: it plays only selected instrument. Multisynth solved this too. Using 3 of them allowed me to split PC keyboard between two groups of instruments.
