Stereo visualizer question

I know that the x-y mode on oscilloscopes graphs a point with the x coordinate being the level of the left signal/audio channel and the y coordinate being the level of the right signal/audio channel. I notice that SunVox's module visualizer version will show a vertical line for a mono signal, which is a left=right signal. Shouldn't there be some horizontal variance in the graph if both channels are making (the same) sound? Upon further analysis of the visualizer, i see that it functions like a real oscilloscope's x-y mode except the graph is first mirrored horizontally then rotated 135 degrees anti-clockwise. Does the SunVox visualizer intentionally work unlike a real oscilloscope? How does it work specifically then?

You are right, is slightly rotated :) Because it is not true XY mode, it is Goniometer (Stereo phase scope).
Correct XY mode will added be in the new SunVox update. You already can see it in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjQW28DcOXo It is just a test of the new version :)
