standard effect 02, pitch slide down

hi, one more question for you today:

with the standard effect 02 pitch slide down (xxyy), if i enter a value of 40 in the yy space it will pitch slide down one semitone per tick, but if i enter 0100 what will happen?

what does the xx part represent in this command?

0100 = slide down four semitones per tick
XX has no any special meaning. Effect 02 uses the whole XXYY number
