I really love 80s/80s revival music and was wondering if anyone had any tips they'd like to share on making good synths/drums/bass etc.

here's a bunch of keywords:
* FM module for chords
* lots of reverb & chorus (on snaredrum etc or even on master)
* drumkits before 909 (so 808,707,606 check ki archive for drumsamples)
* bell sounds (shipped with sunvox)
* pads in the background
* slow vibrato on synths to emulate unstable 80s synths
* psychotic romantic lyrics
* drumfills with lots of reverb

U sure it's verb? On slot of those records it's both live drums and electronics... See the drum module above. Sometimes they set a loop and just did fills live to tape.
