i believe nightradio already mentioned this as being planned, but i'll give my thoughts on the topic:
it would be awesome to have samples be able to be placed directly in the timeline, rather than being relegated to a single pattern. with this, you could use sunvox to arrange live recordings, test samples, or simply be able to do things like reverse cymbals much more easily
the way i imagine this could be done is something like the way radium does it, where the sample is just another module, except here the module is a sampler, and the option to have the sample in the timeline could be an option in the sampler module (or accessible via a drop-down menu in the timeline). you could do things like reverse, cropping, and fade in either in the sampler edit menu or in the timeline via another drop-down (preferably both). this would make the feature work with sunvox's paradigm
hopefully maybe in 2.1? idk, just my thoughts

Re: samples in timeline
bump
if possible, maybe do it via automatically creating a sampler from drag and drop or directly loading the file from the timeline? is drag and drop from the native file browser even possible with sundog?
