Things for fm syntesis

Post by ibim »

One thing that would make sense for the modulator is an option to treat each polyphonic channel as a separate module, so the different notes doesn't interfere with each other.
Another thing that would be nice is true frequency modulation (like in the generator module) but with full range, I could only get a range of something like 2-3 kHz in generator.
This would be nice for creating bass drums.

i agree! polyphony for the modulator would be nice

personally though, phase modulation is enough for me because you get the same results with sine waves and you don't have to deal with pitch drifting

Yeah, for melodic stuff it's easier to use pm, but some things cant be done in pm, I made a video to show better what I mean.

i think i see what you mean. hopefully true fm will be implimented soon, but for now you can actually just use the glide module for pitch envelopes and things like that. use an envelope generator hooked up to a sound2ctl controlling the "pitch" controller
