Problems running SunVox from an external hardrive or desktop

Post by woodwindblues »

Hello,

since my computer died recently, I am trying to run sunvox from my external hard drive at the university computers. However, when running, SunVox seems to think it is in some temp directory on the computer. Navigating to the external hard rive through the SunVox menu for saving/loading is cumbersome but possible (most of the time - sometimes the external hard rive does not show up in the SunVox menu), but there are problems if SunVox wants to autosave, for example if I want to edit a MetaModule. I get an error message from SunVox:

Code: Select all

Can't save .sunvox_prev_session.sunvox
[Close] [Save Log]
Wether I try to save the log or not, it does not let me edit the module. When I try to save the log, I do not get any error during the saving process, but the log.txt does not get saved (it does not show up in the directory I "saved" it in).

I should mention that all the computers I have access to at the moment are Macs.

EDIT:
I just tried to run SunVox from the Desktop (by copying the whole SunVox folder there) and ran into the same problems.

Are these known problems / is there a workaround?

Best,
woodwindblues
