Is SunVox going to die if it's only developer (NightRadio) disappears?

There's no way that you're going to be able to work on the program forever... it'd be tragic to see such a brilliant piece of software die

In case of any problems with further development, the project will become open source.
And even in the case of normal development, the engine code may become open source in the foreseeable future. :)

Any updates on this?NightRadio wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 2:48 pm And even in the case of normal development, the engine code may become open source in the foreseeable future.
I've been experimenting with the SunVoxLib embeded in videogames and I think it could go very far if the library itself was open source. It's a super handy and promising way to make interactive audio for videogames, one can design a patch in SunVox, tweak sliders and write loops (both of which is annoying to do with code alone), then export the project and control it from within the game.
The open source Godot engine in particular is rather lacking when it comes to audio, especially generative stuff and sequencing, both of which is nice to do with SunVox while also staying performant and lightweight.
Nevertheless, the library being closed source makes it feel sketchy to build on top of and distribute for other users and in the case of platforms like some consoles with custom build systems the provided binaries likely wouldn't suffice either so if one plans releasing on any console, using the SunVoxLib is out of the question.

It is already partially open as part of Pixilang: https://warmplace.ru/soft/pixilangAny updates on this?
But there is still no separate version of the library (open source SunVoxLib) - it may be released later
