Simple midi trigger to sound sample

Post by BLCKPSTV » Fri Sep 04, 2020 9:26 pm

Hi,

First time working with sunvox and at the moment it seems the easiest way to achieve what I want to build.
Problem is I have no clue what do with it :D

I'm using an akai mpk midi board (which is plugged into a raspberry pi and is recognized in the raspberry and sunvox software)

I want to have the keys (25) trigger 25 different sample files and play it once if the respective key is pressed.

I tried the sample element, but I couldn't link it to a certain key or sample file.

Clueless how to achieve my goal.

Kind regards!

I got the sample in the module, but how do I trigger it with a midi key?

If you use the samples only:
create a new Sampler module;
open its editor (button under the module controllers);
follow the instruction from FAQ :)

Another way:
load sample;
add MultiSynth;
connect MultiSynth to Sampler;
in MultiSynth clear the velocity curve (set all values to zero), then click SET and enter desired note in both fields;
in MultiSynth click OPTIONS -> enable "ignore notes with zero velocity" and "Use static note C5";
now your MultiSynth will play the sample only when you press the previously specified note.
