What is the difference between Preferences-> Timeline: new option "Hexadecimal line numbers and the previous sequencer? I don't see it ... :Search:

Hexadecimal notation is "base 16", and has the 16 "digits" of 0123456789abcdef.

Decimal is "base 10", and has the 10 digits of 0123456789.

Hex is useful when you're working with divisions of 4, since each group of 16 is numbered 00, 10, 20, 30, 40, etc. with hex. The equivalent decimal would be 0, 16, 32, 48, 64, etc.
