It is the same as the Volume, but much more precise (32768 steps instead of 256).
Also if you will try to change the Volume and Fine Volume simultaneously - volume envelope will be close to the exponential

so that is very useful specialy for ultra low volumes, which is allowed in 32 bit float, but for the last upper 6 dB the resolution is 16384 steps.
that is really very fine steps
