analogue vs generator attack and release question

Post by El Nino »

what is the reason behind the analogue generator module and the normal generator module having such different attack and release?

when compared to the normal generator module, the analogue modules attack and relase sliders produce a shorter sound with sustain off.

One of the reasons - i think that the Attack/Release parameters of the Generator are too short. Sometimes we need the sounds with really long tail

The attack and release on the analog generator aren't linear like the Generator's. As they go higher, the effect becomes more pronounced and the time is lengthened more, which means you have a little less absolute control, but a lot more range than the normal Generator.

so i guess the analogue generator has exponential sliders for attack and release while the generator has linear sliders?
