Different pattern lengths

Post by Paul »

Hi,

I'm pretty new to SunVox and trackers in general (although I think that SunVox is so much more) and I'm used to writing music that has different numbers of beats in the bar, e.g. 6, 9, occasionally 5 or even 11, etc. Is there any way of changing the length of a pattern from the divisible-by-four paradigm it defaults to? Please say yes. :)

Cheers,
Paul.

Of course. You can set any size in the pattern properties.

If you like doing stuff in 3 or 6 its useful to think of 1 beat as twelve lines and use a higher bpm, then you don't have to use delay commands in the pattern for the triplet feel. It can be confusing sometimes because the highlighting is still every 4 lines and every 16 lines.
