How to use the build in keyboard Htc touch pro

Hello,as the title suggests i am trying to use the build in keyboard on my Htc Touch Pro.

I am having issues with all the keys except the arrow keys witch work but not in the logical order (When i press the right/left it moves vertically and when i press up/down it moves horizontally, in the tracker)

Another thing that seems strange is that the touch screen misbehaves when i slide the keyboard down.No matter where i click(with the stylus),it just moves within the steps of the tracker.
