When setting shortcuts to MIDI notes, the same notes from other MIDI channels become unavailable for general note input.
I have an AKAI APC Key-25 controller which has many buttons sending MIDI notes on channel 1 and piano keys sending notes on channel 2.
I'd like to map navigation and pattern editing shortcuts to the buttons and use the piano keys to play synths and input notes into the pattern.
Since the setting menu shows the specific channel when assigning shortcuts (ie "MIDI: 1:Note26") I assume the intended functionality is to filter MIDI inputs by channel. However, when it's set up like this, pressing note 26 on the keys (channel 2) does nothing, the shortcut isn't activated (as expected) but it doesn't play the note on synths and it isn't written to the pattern either (not as expected).
Tested on version 2.1 on Android.
Thank you for these awesome tools btw!
