SpectraVoice Frequency seems wrong/nonstandard?

Hey I just wanted to ask about this. If you load up a default SpectraVoice, the default C6 is 1098 Hz. In standard tuning, it should be 1046.5. Now, it sounds correct, as in, I can match a 1098 to a 1046 in another program and it sounds almost the same. So the C6 in the SpectraVoice really is 1046, but it is showing as 1098. This makes building sub-harmonics kind of difficult. Also if you set it to exactly 1000 and play a C6, it's way off of 1000 in the analyzer.
Then it occurred to me that maybe the base note is actually c#6, not C6, as it does show as a lowercase c where it displays the basenote. Which would be weird, and would still be showing the wrong frequency, so I did one more little test. I exported a wave of a c and c# and measured their frequencies. C# is 1112, and C is 1049. C# is closer, and actually made me think for a second that maybe Sunvox uses 442 tuning instead of 440. So I checked that with a bounced generator tone, but that seemed to be standard 440.
Anyways, I'm not sure how to summarize this into a question, other than to ask why this is the way it is.
