Effects for SUNVOX 2.1
Re: Effects for SUNVOX 2.1
You see now why it doesn't do what I'm looking for.
Cool module. Nice offering. Just doesn't do what I'm looking for.

Keres 4Way-QuadraFilter
it is what it says it is... 4 filters. I put the control parameters for the main multictrl so you can adjust how you need without diving, basically it is a LOW->NOTCH->HIGH->BAND filter with smoothing between.
0000-2000 is lowpass from 0Hz to full bandwidth
2000-4000 is notch from full to full (going up in Hz)
4000-6000 is highpass from full to... silence going up again
6000-8000 is bandpass from 0Hz to silence going up as well.
obviously, randomization can cause clicks, which is why there are narrowing parameters from the MultiCtrl devices to help you smooth/adjust things.
i put this up here a demo because i watch synth demo videos for ideas on how to make cool patches. i saw a filter knob on some sampler that would go from low pass to high pass with one knob and i thought it was cool.

Re: Effects for SUNVOX 2.1
I present to you: b1tkrasha
A bitcrusher? Well...yeah, with some help from Akash Murthy's video on quantisation
The Distortion module currently is only capable of reducing bit-depth in integers, which is not really suitable for dynamic use. With this module, you will be able to gradually change it exponentially. A dithering noise controller is provided should you need the incoming signal to prevail during quiet parts (at the cost of higher noise floor, of course)
---
- Controllers -
06 - Input Limiter
07 - Output Limiter
08 - Bitcrush
09 - Freq (Hz)
0A - Dithering Noise
---
Have fun, ya?

Re: Effects for SUNVOX 2.1
this seems very useful! especially in live performance situations. but somehow it's not working for me. dropped it in a empty project, set midi in to always, attached it to a generator, but it doesn't seem any notes are going through it. set probability all the way up. am i perhaps missing something obvs? am using 2.1c. tiaKeres wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 7:54 pm saw this request a while back... someone wanted the multisynth to be modded with a probability slider. Basically, with the phase slider... it sort of does. anyways, use this as a note effect, in-between, or as a multisynth. this will add a probability of note played to a slider.
enjoy

oops... quite embarrassing. I donno what happened there, must not have been paying attention and not saved the final changes. should work now, thanks.this seems very useful! especially in live performance situations. but somehow it's not working for me. dropped it in a empty project, set midi in to always, attached it to a generator, but it doesn't seem any notes are going through it. set probability all the way up. am i perhaps missing something obvs? am using 2.1c. tia

A bug has been corrected in the b1tkrasha. Dithering Noise should function properly now

Re: Effects for SUNVOX 2.1
Spiderweb: A spring reverb sounding note-following echo and filter. sounds creepy. use it for drum loops of whatever. when you play a note, it will randomize the panning and add the note to the 6-slot filter-bank. one of the oldest notes will go away and the new one will control the filter freq. fun fun.

Re: Effects for SUNVOX 2.1
probability: my own take on the idea of note chance. this one handles polyphony ok and also includes random velocity, pitch, random octave, and a random note delay for spreading out incoming chords and or adding timing humanization. check out the generative ambient example.sunvox to play with the effect and hear it in action.
1.2=added random octave (-36<->+36 max), added random note(+- 128 full range)
1.1=reworked the random note delay section. uses much less cpu than before1.2=added random octave (-36<->+36 max), added random note(+- 128 full range)

Re: Effects for SUNVOX 2.1
here are the effects and generators from the probability-example.sunvox:
1. vinyl hiss crackle noise generator. i know this has already been done a bunch, but who can get enough of that lofi feel 2. funky panner audio effect. add some stereo warble to your signal 3. fx mangler 1 - randomly mangles any sounds you send into it, spitting out strange textures sporadically. probably not super useful for most, but tossing it here anyway.

Re: Effects for SUNVOX 2.1
and a few extras from the note probability example song above:
1. cremeverb - a lush, buttery verb great for pads and other nostalgic ambiences 2. note pulse generator - a basic but handy little module that just generates a note at whatever speed you set. great for use in generative, self running music ideas. pairs well with (put before) my probability module for further generativeness

Re: Effects for SUNVOX 2.1
updated the note probability effect above to use a new efficient note random delay effect as well as a random octave picker and random note(+-128)

Re: Effects for SUNVOX 2.1
nice little analog delay, probably the first of its kind for sunvox

Re: Effects for SUNVOX 2.1
anyways, decided to make a reply here about my low+mid bands compressor/high-band exciter that i made and posted months ago
