Experimenting with wavetablish kind of sounds. It's not a real wavetable, the idea is a crossfade transation between two oscillators. In this case Saw Oscillator fades over in a triangle Oscillator. I made the transition with a custom drawn envelop. There is also a Low Pass Filter Envelop. With Macros you can change the speed of both envelops. Pls give me a feedback, I will upload more experiments in this direction.

Soooo. I kinda felt in love with this concept, dug a bit deeper and made a simple framework (NG1-Module) for developing further sounds.

First of all, I've discovered, that you get the best results by using two analog synthesizers with drawn spline wave. This way you just put the NG1 module, draw two waves you want to morph, and you get instantly pretty unique sound source for further processing. The new ADSR module is pretty helpful, so there is no need to go the round trip with using custom-made samples, which saves hard disk memory and allows better control over transition. I'm always using two envelopes, one for the both generators and one for the transition. I discovered, it's better to control also the attack and release of the generators together with the ADSR-Module to get better control of your sound. The difficulty is, that the form of the attack of the generator is different in compare with ADSR-Module, so it's better to cutoff the last bit of max release and attack of the generator to have similar envelope curves. But it's just a small detail, you can see, how I connected the macrocontrolls to figure it out.
Another important piece is that the best way to cross-fade is using two compressors with max threshold. The reason is, that by too fast modifying of the volume knob of any other module I get some cracking. This doesn't happen with compressors. No idea why.
Real wavetable synths are not only able to move through the waves controlled by envelope, but also with different algorithms. In sunvox it's general pretty easy to achieve. You mix some lfo in the sound2controll modules inside the metamodule (proof of concept in NG + light lfo module, I actually love, how that one sounds). Another workaround is to put lfo and sound2controll on the second sustain. This way you get even much more movement in your sound.
Long time I was kinda sad, because you're not able to cross-fade between more than two modules. Real wavetables are not just going from one simple waveform to another, but also can morph pretty crazy on the way there. And then it made a click. You can of course replace the analog generator modules inside the wavetable modules and cross-fade this way between any number of waves, just by matroshkiing the modules in each other. Until your CPU breaks down :). You can see an example in NG 4 Forms example.
Have fun with it, this way you can follow any serum tutorial to build amazing patches, I consider wavetable in sunvox as solved :D
