Hello fellow SunVox users!
I'm very excited to let you know that I will be hosting a SunVox competition

RULES:

- It MUST be made in Sunvox. It doesn't matter which version, nor the operating system you use.
- You may use the sampler to put any instruments in you like but you may not use loops.
- You may use vocals. Please be sure you have commercial rights.
- You may use any effects you want and you may also automate it.
- Any genre is allowed.

WHEN AND WHERE TO ENTER:

- All entries must be send until the 3rd of February.
- All entries must be send to falei@live.com
- All entries must be in a .sunvox file. WAV and MP3 files are optional.

WINNING:

- The winner will be announced on the 10th of February.
- Our 10 judges will be giving points for each song. The maximum points you can earn is 100. The lowest is 10.
- The winner will be notified by e-mail and will be posted here.
- He/she will be rewarded with 100 US Dollars sent by PayPal.

YOU WILL BE JUDGED ON:

- Length of the song: At least 2 minutes long.
- Quality of the song: no glitches, clicks, distortion unless intended.
- How interesting the song is: e.g. not the same rhythm and melody over and over again.
- Samples used: It's better if you create the instruments yourself in SunVox, than using the sampler. Not required but might get you more points.
- Song structure.
- Mixed/Mastered well. Doesn't have to be perfect.

It is not clear when you say-
- You may use the sampler to put drums and effects in but not any synthesizers.
Is it just the drums that can not be synthesized or is it all synthesizers...
and if you sample a melody for example, made with a synthesizer does that count or not?

Otherwise a contest is always nice especially one when you actually win some money!!!

Good point. The rules are updated. You can use any instruments you like but you can't use loops.

Perfect as making music with loops is a very sad business indeed!
But just to clarify you can use the Synthesizers without having to import them into a sampler?
I just want to know so I can post the competition on my website musicalandroid.com...

Haven't used SunVox in a while, a compo and two 7 hour car rides is a good reason to pick it up again!

I already have 96 modules in my song so far...

THe competition is now posted on musicalandroid.com so lets see if that will attract some more contenders!

I am going to enter a track,. but is the deadline the 3rd my time or yours? I am in eastern standard time in canada,. Just want to get a bit of distance from what I have done then remix it a bit. so later tonight or in the morning.

At the moment you can't but if the artist allows me to, I will upload all songs on a new Google Drive account in MP3 format after the competition. I'll also post a list with all the entries there.
