Using MIDI input on iOS

Post by Paul »

Hi.
I'm using the latest version of SunVox for iOS on an iPad 2. I've followed the instructions on how to get MIDI in working with the default instrument, selecting the sending app in MIDI under Preferences and making sure the MIDI channel was set to 1 in both apps, but I've been unable to get a peep out of SunVox when playing the other app. I've tried this with both Thumbjam and NLog, which are usually pretty reliable, MIDIwise. Am I missing something? SunVox was able to drive Thumbjam without a problem, so MIDI out was working, just not MIDI in.

Thanks,
Paul.

selecting the sending app in MIDI under Preferences
This is not necessarily in the new version of SunVox.
Just go to the Preferences->MIDI. Then set MIDI Channel to ANY. And then in some other app (Thumbjam, NLog) select the output MIDI port to SunVox.
Also please be sure that some generator is selected in SunVox.
