Thanks for this, NightRadio.

Arch Linux users can find this beta in AUR, https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/sunvox-beta/

If I fall behind tracking this beta series, please leave a message there.

Thanks!

I agree about slicing now being a little hard to get precise because you can't easily drag or slide the playhead and you have to click to move it from spot to spot. It is cool that you can see where the playhead is and what line it's on in the pattern though!

For me, if you could move the playhead as easily as you can select in patterns or the timeline itself that would be fine. And actually being able to make selections within the playhead would allow for cropping. ;) Or looped playback and recording. :) :D

Anyway, very cool! Will we be able to mute and solo patterns with MIDI or with pattern commands in the future? Metapatterns? :%) :D

Does the MIDI import include .mid? Cuz I just bought a bunch of MIDI melodies, and they're all in .mid...

Please, note:
On the clean Ubuntu 12.10 64bit install you'll get a message:
error while loading shared libraries libSDL-1.2.so.0
So install dev files for sdl first:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install libsdl1.2-dev

Not sure, if it's related to this last version only, but I noticed now I have to press Caps Lock key twice to get Note-off.

Yeah, it is a bug. Will be fixed in the next update.

You sure you don't just need libsdl1.2? libsdl1.2-dev would be headers and associated files for building source which uses SDL.
