SolarSynths V2 - 16-Key Beat Slicer

Post by SolarLune » Fri Jul 03, 2015 12:48 pm

Hey, there! You'll need Sunvox v1.9.1 (or greater, when the time comes) to use these.

SOLARSYNTHS V2.0

So this has finally been updated! Here's the newest release of SolarSynths, a pack of instruments and samples for use with SunVox. These are sounds and instruments that I made over the past few years of my working with SunVox. Some of them are now actually packaged with SunVox, but many aren't and some have also been improved since then. I hope that you enjoy using them. Of course, the samples are simple WAV files, so you don't need to use Sunvox to enjoy them.

Feel free to download the pack over on my Itch.io page.

Included:

- Percussion Hits and a couple of loops
- Pads
- Synths
- Basses
- A 16-key Beat Slicer Module
- Over 100 voice samples

Yes, please feel free!

Updated the package to fix a bugged synth (thanks for the suggested fix on that, NightRadio!). Included a few more modules as well.

I realize that I've used these before. Just wanted to say thanks to SolarLune and our root (primary) developer too N.R.

Here's a video showing one of the new modules - the 16-key Beatslicer!

"A 16-key Beat Slicer Module"

This looks awesome.

I have a question though. Does the sample have to be exactly the length of a pattern to use the beat slicer properly?

In renoise they use sample slice markers, is there some eqivalent in your metamodule?

sorry I havent actually downloaded it and looked into it in detail yet.

Also, it would be awesome if you didnt need to use a sample at all, but instead could have a pattern contained within a metamodule somehow chopped (into 4, 8, 16, 32 equal divisions) with each beat slice assigned to a keyboard key.

Thanks, everyone!

@El Nino - The sample can be any length, but the slicer always slices into 16 even pieces.
